Ed Sumner ART Expo opens this Thurs RSVP
Sam's Cafe, Primrose Hill NW1 8LS - Everyone welcome, drinks from 6pm, dinner from 7.30pm
I was going to entitle this weeks Newsletter ‘Caution Wet Paint.’ My preferred medium for many reasons is OIL. One of the pros is that it takes a long time to dry so you can leave a painting over night and it’s exactly the same in the morning to continue working on. One of the draw backs is that it takes a long time to dry maybe up to a year. As luck would have it the pieces that I have earmarked for the first Expo of 2023 have miraculously dried in time, so long as I don’t Faff! Remember ‘Art is only ever abandoned, never finished!’ Here’s a new painting just dry! The Exhibition will run for 2 months
Sam’s Cafe in Primrose Hill is great venue, we’ve got drinks from 6pm if you would like to have dinner on the evening please book a table there are a couple left.
Driving up to the studio one chilly morning last week I saw in the mirrors some amazing colours in the sky so turned a right up Parliament Hill. I made a little video of the walk to the top on the Cheese and Wine Painting Club Facebook Page, nice say ‘Hi!’ to some of our followers around the world and took a few photos. Here’s one that will get turned in to a painting pretty soon no doubt, check the video on the page here. Special well done to Jazz one of our online artists who made a great painting from a still on the video!
