Last week some commissions got finished and off to their new homes. This portrait of The Queen made with pure platinum leaf and the blackest EVER paint has gone to Australia. We wish her safe travels. Good news for us still in the UK: I had some platinum left over, so I’ve made another! Photographs don’t do Liz justice, come to see it in the studio if you’re interested. Just give me a call for a studio visit I’m there most days everyone welcome to pop in.
Commission your own platinum portrait? I was thinking a David Bowie would be cool who else?
This neon and oil painting of Boathouse Row Philadelphia got finished too!
A Big Wall to fill?
A client in Islington had a large space for art in the hallway of their beautiful new home. Initially, they thought about creating a mural. Better than that – ‘a massive canvas!’ I suggested. This resulted in the largest painting on stretched canvas I’ve ever made six by eight feet!
A favourite place for their family is Holkham Beach in north Norfolk. Huge expanses of sand and enormous skies made this the perfect subject matter to accentuate their space. We added members of the family into the beach scene to personalise it further.
Installation was included with the commission: a very happy customer and artist with the painting fitting perfectly first time. If you have a space in your home, please get in touch to commission a bespoke piece to any dimensions.

Not long to go now for my next exhibition at Sam’s Café, Primrose Hill. The PRIVATE VIEW will be held on Thursday 26th January, with drinks at 6:30pm. If you’d like to come along please let me know and to book a table for dinner please get in touch with Sam’s Café directly at 0207 916 3736. It’s really good last week I had the Curry PIE! The exhibition will be open until the end of March. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
I would dearly love to come to the exhibition and your live people sessions, but I got Covid that effects lasted over a month last time I went to London, and I have got too much to do to risk that again! Maybe in the summer? Good luck with all your wonderful endeavours!
